From Monday 12 December 2011, the seven unmanned waste transfer stations listed below will be locked, with key access given to local residents only.

Key-lock waste facilities - For domestic waste only

Amiens

Thulimbah

Pozieres

The Summit

Broadwater

Glen Aplin

Ballandean

While it is free to dispose of waste at these key-lock facilities, only domestic household waste will be accepted. Larger household items, such as couches or fridges, can be taken at no charge to the Stanthorpe Landfill and Resource and Recovery Centre.

If you are a property owner near one of these facilities, you should now have received a letter about how to apply to obtain a key for your local waste facility.

If you do not own your property and are a tenant, you need to contact your property manager or landlord about obtaining a key.
