Temporary single lane conditions will exist during road works on Fitzroy Street Warwick, between Steeles' Bakery and Canning Street, until Friday 13 January 2012.

Motorists are advised that from today, Fitzroy Street in Warwick will have a partial closure between Steeles Bakery and Canning Street while road repairs are underway.

Approximately 100 metres of road will be excavated and resurfaced during the project, which is expected to be completed by Friday 13 January 2012, weather permitting.

During works, only one lane of traffic will be open on this section of the road during working hours, for use by motorists travelling in a westerly direction and by local businesses and residents. Access to Steele’s Bakery and Helen Harm Real Estate will be available. All other motorists will be redirected to a detour route.

The works are being completed now to ensure that the road is open in time for the start of the school year, when traffic increases to and from Warwick East State School on Fitzroy Street.
