Works around the Southern Downs Region in February

Southern Downs Regional Council will continue its capital and maintenance works programs and some flood works during February with the following roads and footpaths receiving attention:
Current works projects
• Gravel re-sheeting on sections of Tuckers Road, Junabee
• Gravel re-sheeting on sections of Savio Road, Scotts Camp Road and Pradella Road, Amiens
• Grading of washouts at Welsh Road, Palgrave
• Grading on sections of Springdale Road, Stanthorpe
• Emergency repairs on roads affected by heavy recent storms in Goomburra, Maryvale, Emu Vale and Swanfels
• Killarney Post Office footpath replacement (to finish this Friday)
Work starting in the next few weeks
• Reseals of Stanthorpe’s Baker Street, Rich Street, Johnson Street, College Road, and Pierpont Street
• Reseals in other southern region areas: Reilly Road, Diamondvale; Halloran Drive, Cottonvale; Teale Road, The Summit; Haig Street, The Summit; Kelly Road, Applethorpe; Spring Creek Road, Amiens; Elks Lane, Amiens
• Repairs to sections of Hendon-Mt. Marshall Road and Mt. Marshall-Clintonvale Road, Mt. Marshall
• Repairs to Wheatvale Plains Road, Wheatvale
• Repairs to Pinnacle Road floodway, Glenlyon
• Gravel re-sheeting to sections of North Branch Road, Maryvale
• Inspections of 15 timber bridges in the northern end of the Region
Traffic control measures will be in place during the above works and residents are asked obey all temporary traffic signage and not to park cars on affected streets during the works periods.
