Posted: August 20, 2012
Are you a budding amateur photographer? If so, you will be very interested in the Southern Downs Regional Council’s Celebrating Seniors – Living and Loving Life Photographic Project, an amateur photographic project open to all Southern Downs residents.
The project is a celebration of seniors in our community and the contribution they make to our quality of life, and seeks images from Southern Downs’ residents of all ages and backgrounds which promote one or more of the following themes:
• Seniors staying connected, actively involved in our community or simply ‘living and loving life’;
• The importance of relationships between different generations in families and in the community;
• Age-friendly initiatives in the Southern Downs community (events, social activities and programs for seniors); and
• Seniors captured by image in humorous situations.
Entry categories include Primary Students (to Year 7), Secondary Students (Years 8-12), Open Amateur (Aged 18+) and Other Cultures (Any Age).
Entries to the Celebrating Seniors – Living and Loving Life Photographic Project must be submitted to Council before 5pm on Wednesday, 10 October 2012.
