22/12/2009 - Christmas Closure
OFFICES & LIBRARIES
All offices and libraries will close for the Christmas/New Year period from 3pm on Thursday, December 24, reopening at normal times on Monday, 4 January 2010. Council staff will be on call for emergencies during this period and can be contacted on 4661 0399 (Warwick) or 0418 717 369 (Stanthorpe).
WASTE COLLECTION
Stanthorpe
There will be NO change to waste collection services during Christmas 2009 for all residents and business premises in Stanthorpe and country areas. Services for Friday, 25 December will be carried out as normal. Please ensure all bins are put out on the night of Thursday 24 December for collection.
The Stanthorpe refuse site will be closed on Friday 25 December 2009.
Warwick
The following Waste Facilities will be closed on Christmas Day, re-opening on Boxing Day:
- Warwick Central Waste Management Facility
- Allora Landfill
- Yangan Landfill
- Maryvale Transfer Station.
Transfer stations at Killarney, Leyburn and Pratten will remain open for normal business hours throughout the holidays.
Waste collection services (wheelie bins) will be carried out as normal.
WIRAC
The Warwick Indoor Recreation & Aquatic Centre will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. The centre will operate over the Christmas/New Year period as follows:
Thursday 24/12/09 (Xmas Eve) - 5.30am to 6.00pm
Friday 25/12/09 (Xmas Day) - Closed
Saturday 26/12/09 (Boxing Day) - Closed
Sunday 27/12/09 - 9.00am to 5.00pm
Monday 28/12/09 (Public Holiday) - 9.00am to 5.00pm
Tuesday 29/12/09 - 5.30am to 8.00pm
Wednesday 30/12/09 - 5.30am to 8.00pm
Thursday 31/12/09 (New Years Eve) - 5.30am to 6.00pm
Friday 1/1/2010 (New Years Day) - 9.00am to 5.00pm
