Applications now open for 2012 youth programs
Do you want to make a difference for young people in this region, while having fun and gaining totally cool new skills? Young people aged 15 to 25 years are now invited to apply to become a Warwick Young Ambassador or a Stanthorpe Young Delegate in 2012. Skaters, BMX riders up for cool tour
Young people who love to skateboard or BMX can take a ride on the wild side this week by joining the Southern Downs Youth Week Skate Tour to Toowoomba skate parks this Saturday, 9 April. [more]
Southern Downs Regional Council youth worker Bonita Tyler is calling on all Southern Downs youth to get in and have their say on local issues by filling in Council’s questionnaire on youth concerns.
“Tell us what needs to happen in the community, Ms Tyler said. “It is National Youth Week and the theme is “OWN IT, so that is what we need you to do.
“You can have your say on local issues by visiting the Southern Downs Regional Council Website – Youth Zone or the Southern Downs Youth Service Facebook page to fill in a the questionnaire from survey monkey.
“With the results your local Youth Councils will get a better understanding of the issues to work on as well as what sorts of activities, projects and programs they can organise within the Region.

The Nominations are in now let the party begin!
Nominations have closed for the local National Youth Week Awards and the winners are set to be announced at a fantastic Awards evening on 1 April in Stanthorpe and 8 April in Warwick.
Get your celebration fixation on the train to party station with a concert after the Awards ceremony. A light supper is provided, no singing required.
Tickets are limited, cost $5 bucks and are only available from Community development Services (CDS) Stanthorpe and the Youth Office at the Warwick Town Hall
See you at Stanthorpe Civic Centre April 1st and then do it all again Warwick Town Hall April 8th.
