Our Environment

Our environment is one of the most valuable resources we have, yet it is probably the most neglected.  Our environment provides us with somewhere to live, somewhere to play - it sustains us.  Without careful management, we risk damaging our environment beyond repair.  Endangered species need to be preserved, waste needs to be reduced and contained and where possible, recycled.

Council is actively participating in programs to protect our environment.  In this section you will find information on how you too can participate in caring for the environment in which we live.
