Southern Downs Regional Council is proud to offer the community of Warwick a Liberty Swing, a special piece of playground equipment designed for people with special needs.Located in the Rose City’s most accessible playground in Leslie Park, the swing can be used with or without a wheelchair.
This facility was made possible by a combination of funds from the Southern Downs Regional Council, Variety Club of Queensland and Rotary Club of Warwick, in October 2011.
Families and carers are encouraged to apply for an access key to operate the swing by contacting Council’s Warwick office on 07 4661 0300 or visiting the front counter at 64 Fitzroy Street, Warwick. Groups are encouraged to utilise the booking system to secure your usage.
The major partners in this joint project were Southern Downs Regional Council, Variety Club of Queensland and Rotary Club of Warwick with additional support from Warwick Apex.
