Southern Downs Regional Council (Making of Local Law) Notice No. 2 2011

Council has in place a number of local laws which cover a broad range of issues.  Recently Southern Downs Regional Council undertook a review of all local laws and subordinate local laws that transitioned from predecessor Councils (ie. Warwick Shire Council and Stanthorpe Shire Council). This process included considerable public interest testing and public consultation. As a result, the following local laws and subordinate local laws for Southern Downs Regional Council commence on 1 January 2012:

Two local laws from the former Warwick Shire Council were applied to the whole Southern Downs Regional Council local government area.  As a result, the following local laws and subordinate local laws for Southern Downs Regional Council commence on 22 December 2011:
