Dog and Cat Registration


Important Information: Registration of your dog and cat - Every dog and cat from the age of three (3) months, (with the exception of bona fide working dogs) kept within the Southern Downs Regional Council area is to be registered in accordance with the Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Act 2008. This is done by lodging a dog & cat registration form along with correct payment at one of our Council offices.

Until 10 December 2010, registration of all cats and dogs in the rural area of the former Warwick Shire Council area is free.

Street Banner Application

 
The Council banner is available for loan for the promotion or recognition of functions and events taking place within the Stanthorpe area.

The banner is free of charge however a bond of $100 is required at the time of booking. The (Velcro attached) lettering must be organised prior to the booking to ensure sufficient letters and numerals are available.

The erection and pull down of the banner is the responsibility of the borrower. It is a requirement of the loan that the organisation/individuals erecting and pulling down this banner follow road safety and police regulations. These will need to be clarified with police prior to erection.

Upon return of the banner all letters and numbers will be checked for completeness. Any missing figures will be invoiced at $6.60 each and deducted from the bond. The banner must be returned to Council within 24 hours of the registered final date of use. A late fee of $10.00 per day will be invoiced and deducted from the bond for every day past the due return date.

Complete the application form and please present with your bond deposit to Council’s Stanthorpe office where it will be registered and processed.

Use of Roads/Footpaths


Council controls the use of SDRC footpaths under Warwick Shire Local Law No. 12 (Roadside Vending and the Use of Roads and Footways) and Stanthorpe Shire Council Local Law No. 16 (Commercial Use of Roads). These include permits for street stalls, busking, footpath advertising, footpath dining, goods on footpath, planter boxes, roadside vending, and mobile food vending. Anyone wishing to apply for a Permit must complete an application form, which can be obtained by clicking on the link below.
