Flood Study

Southern Downs Regional Council commissioned Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) to carry out a Flood Study and Flood Risk Management Study of the Condamine River and its tributaries (within the SDRC area).
This report is a summary of the full report provided to SDRC on 7th November, 2011. This summary is provided for the purposes of disseminating the findings of the study to the public in an easy-to-read manner to allow feedback on the study findings.

Leyburn and Stanthorpe Flood Studies
Southern Downs Regional Council has commissioned Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) to undertake flood studies in Leyburn and Stanthorpe.
The Leyburn Flood Study will cover Canal Creek and its tributaries in and around the town of Leyburn. The study will focus on the risk of flooding in Leyburn, as well as rural areas along the floodplain.
The Stanthorpe Flood Study will cover the Severn River and its tributaries including Quart Pot Creek and extend from Stanthorpe in the north down to Ballandean.
